Supporting patients who require specialised nutrition support

Many people struggle to meet their nutritional requirements through food alone due to poor appetite, weight loss, increased nutritional needs, chronic disease, or difficulty maintaining adequate intake. Through the Abbott Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) Program, I can support eligible patients with access to Abbott Nutrition oral nutrition supplements at a reduced cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a prescription?

Yes. Abbott HEN products require appropriate clinical assessment and scripts from an Accredited Practising Dietitian.

Can I choose any supplement?

The most appropriate product depends on your medical condition, nutritional requirements, and dietary goals.

Is this suitable for everyone?

No. Oral nutrition supplements are recommended when clinically indicated and should complement, not replace, appropriate food intake where possible.
